Hedwig Koch-Münch lives in Kamen and in 2010, she caught the lauging bug. In 2012, she was made a certified teacher of Laughter Yoga by its founder, Dr. Madan Kataria. She runs three Laughter Clubs – in Paderborn, Kamen and Unna – and also gives seminars at community colleges and rehabilitation centers, as well as in businesses and nurseries. In 2015 she released her first book an Laughter Yoga, and followed it up with the play “When the Sun lost its laughter”, for which the audience´s contribution is vital! Her play deals with the issue of caring relationships with oneself and others.

For children over the age of 5, Koch-Münch developed the project “When Grabadi left his homeland” which deals with the issue of exclusion. The project is accompanied by playing, laughing, music, and of course singing and dancing, and an appeal to the children of a single class, or an entire school.

In 2016, she released her song for World Laughter Day “Lachen für den Frieden” = “Laughing for Peace”
